Senior Electronics Technician

Fibertek is now actively recruiting for a Senior Electronics Technician to join our solid-state laser development staff in its headquarters facility in Herndon, Virginia.

Job Overview:

Work closely with the circuit design engineers to test and repair circuits to the component level. They will use industry standard test equipment as well as customized test fixtures to setup, test and calibrate electronic circuitry designed for use in Fibertek laser systems. 

General Duties:

• Test, troubleshoot and repair printed circuit boards to component level as well as characterize, optimize and document the performance of complex circuitry.
• Work closely with the design staff to support the builds and testing of laser systems.
• Bring new designs online.
• Work from and cross reference schematics, PCB plots, and assembly drawings, as well as block diagrams and test plan developments.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience with a broad array of electronic test equipment –proficiency with digital oscilloscopes, DMM and signal and logic generators.
• Solid understanding of digital and analog circuits
• Ability to work on time critical projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• U.S. citizenship is required
